How To Apply For Our Classes which Start in June & September 2022.

Second Round

Unlike the "first round match", there is no actual matching during the Second Round process. Instead, applicants apply and are accepted or not accepted on a rolling basis. Decisions will be made on completed applications within 24 hours and you must be prepared to accept the offer of admission and pay the deposit of $2500 immediately if you wish to be one of our Interns.  As such, please make sure you are familiar with our program before applying in the second round.

Applications are welcome from applicants who:

*have not previously applied for an Internship and are applying for the    first time

*applied for any Internship previously and did not receive a match

*have taken and passed the CDR exam as a requirement for         certification or licensure in their state

Please note that applications will not be accepted from applicants who applied to our Program in the current match and did not receive a match.

Steps 1, and 2 are to be completed for both June and September classes.

Step 3 is not required in the second round.

Steps 4 and 5 due dates have been extended due to the Pandemic but should be completed as soon as possible, but at least by the due dates listed below. Please contact us with any questions.

Step 1

Complete the Priority Nutrition Care Distance DI SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION

MAY BE COMPLETED NOW for new applications to our Program for both our June & September 2022 Classes.

This application is submitted directly to our Program through a simple online form. The fee is $75 payable by credit or debit card.

Step 2

Complete your application through DICAS (Dietetic Internship Centralized Application Service)

PRIORITY NUTRITION CARE DISTANCE DIETETIC INTERNSHIP PORTAL in DICAS is now closed until match day and will be reopened on TUESDAY APRIL 5, 2022.  When the portal reopens, you may log in, choose Priority Nutrition Care, pay the fee and submit.

New applicants may register and start an application in DICAS NOW in preparation for the SECOND ROUND, but you will not be able to direct it to our Program until our portal is reopened on TUESDAY APRIL 5, 2022. When our portal reopens, you may log in, designate Priority Nutrition Care, pay the DICAS fee and submit.

DICAS (the Dietetic Internship Centralized Application Service) collects application materials in one place so that you need only to send your information to one place and Internships may view your material easily. DICAS has nothing to do with decisions about who is matched to an Internship. Their sole responsibility is to provide a place online where your application materials will be stored. It is very wise to start your application now. You may go in and out of your application as many times as you want as you add or edit information. You will not be able to get the information needed if you wait until the last minute. You will need forms completed by your DPD Program Director, your references, and your transcripts among other things. Since the individuals providing this information will be responding to many requests, it is important to make these requests VERY early. DICAS has released an overview video which shows how to navigate through the sections of the DICAS application. View the overview video below.

Step 3

Register with D& D Digital and Rank Priority Nutrition Care Distance Dietetic Internship

This step is not required in the Second Round.  D&D Digital and ranking is not involved.

Step 4

Have your Preceptor(s) complete a Confirmation Form

This has not changed and we would advise that you work on this now.

Your Preceptor fills out this form which is located on our website www.PNCDDI.com on the Preceptor page.  The information on these forms is used to confirm that the Preceptors you contacted have agreed to precept you.  This is not an application to be a preceptor. They must be completed and submitted by your PRECEPTORS.  Use the Preceptor Contact Form button below, which is submitted electronically.  There is additional information using the Preceptor Information button below. As an applicant, you would benefit from becoming familiar with this information.

Step 5

Rotation Schedule Form

This has not changed and we would advise that you work on this now.

This form is used to list the scheduling of Rotations and locations for your rotations and preceptors. You must complete this form and include your sites for the first rotation. Please submit the form as soon as you identify your first rotation.  As you add Preceptors and Rotation sites, whether during the application period or during the Internship, you must submit the form again.
